worship recap(s) & “T-Pain”

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done one of these.  With Easter and all, it’s been pretty crazy. So I’ll try and recap the last few weeks.

Easter was amazing.  One of the largest attendances ever.  Band was tight.  Pastor Dave sat in on keys which is always nice.  Here was the setlist…

Were you there (Don Chapman)
Happy Day (Tim Hughes)
All Because Of Jesus (Fee)
-message-
Home (Daughtry)
-offering-
King Of Glory (Third Day)

April 11th was a crazy week.  I lead worship and taught.  I don’t advise it.  The band was great though so that for sure lowered my stress level!  🙂

Amazing (Redman)
I Am Free (Desperation)
Everlasting God (Brenton Brown)
-welcome-
Word Of God Speak (Mercy Me)
-message-
From The Inside Out (United)

April 18th the Youth Band lead.  This is probably the tightest I’ve ever heard them.  We simplified the band and it worked really well! (played to their strengths).

Undignified (Redman)
Today Is The Day (Lincoln Brewster)
-welcome-
God Of Wonders (Marc Byrd)
-message-
From The Inside Out (United)

April 25th (last week) we scaled everything back and went acoustic.  It was a lot of fun.  Some people think that this is easier than having a full band.  That’s not necessarily the case.  These guys worked really hard to make some not-so-acoustic songs work acoustically.  We got some great feedback!

Everything Glorious (Crowder)
All We Need (Charlie Hall)
Happy Day (Tim Hughes)
-welcome-
Gravity (John Mayer)
-message-
-offering-
Lift High (Fee)
-closing-
I Still Believe (Jeremy Camp)

Pastor Dave went a little long so we went ahead and did the offering early so that people could leave on time if they wanted to… they didn’t.  It was a great weekend.

I wanted to through something else in here too.  The Youth Band through down some T-Pain Auto-Tune in The Link this weekend.  I thought it was pretty creative!  Love it!  Check it out…
