This is for all of the men out there.  I’d like you to consider these theological questions.  

How does Father God look upon Christ? With great affection.  What authority has He given Christ? All authority in heaven and earth.  What relationship does He have with Christ? They are One.  

And so should we be in our relationship with our wives.  

“But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This is not a license for extreme dictatorship, but rather a call to intimate relationship. A call to oneness. The head cannot be separated from the body.  

Father God’s relationship to Christ is a model of oneness.  Christ’s relationship to the church is a model of sacrifice.  Both are a model of how husbands should relate to their wives.
